Maintenance Physical Therapy:

Free your future thru physical therapy body maintenance “tune ups”, maintenance physical therapy exercise programs, and/or personal Pilates reformer training provided by your Balance Body trained Pilates instructor. Once your acute or chronic injury or dysfunction is stable, you have the option of scheduling maintenance visit sessions which may include any of our manual therapy techniques, modalities, or exercises as determined by your therapist to help you continue to live your best life, move with freedom and continue to thrive in everything that you enjoy, and to “tune up” any problems that may have arisen since your last session. Any treatment occurring within 60 days from your last session for the same issue is covered under your current plan of care and will not require a new evaluation with a new evaluation fee. If an acute dysfunction for something not originally in your plan of care has occurred, a new evaluation may be warranted as required by our state practice act. Many clients find that scheduling a maintenance visit once every 30 days and having it set on their calendar for accountability is a proactive way to continue feeling great, prevent getting injured, and to quickly correct any issues before the acute tissue injury becomes chronic if they did something that caused a “tweak” to their body. One would not choose to drive their car if their tires were out of alignment as they know it would cause wear and tear on their car. The same is true for our bodies- if our pelvis is “out of alignment” it may cause wear and tear on our joints and discs, overuse injuries including tendonitis and plantar fasciitis, impingement syndromes and potential tears in our muscles, tendons and ligaments. If we have poor posture and tight spines we can wear and tear down our shoulders and cervical spine leading to impingements, tears, nerve inflammation, entrapments, disc issues, and headaches. Furthermore, we cannot reach our fullest strength potential when we have muscles that are tight and bound down. Maintenance physical therapy is a great way to stay on top of your game by keeping your body working efficiently allowing you to thrive
